The review was ordered by David Cameron, the prime minister, last July after further controversy over Megrahi's release on compassionate grounds in August 2010 was sparked by a US congressional inquiry into BP – provoked by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster – and by Megrahi's survival at home in Libya.
Cameron will make a statement on the case in the Commons later today.

Oh really.

& Thatcher armed Saddam to the teeth cos she wanted to get at Khomeni.

Whole Ordnance factories churning out shells and 1000lb bombs 24/7, I saw that with my own eyes, as well as exocet casings which were sent to aerospatial in France for the gubbins to be put in, flogged to the Argies who took delight in sticking them through the side of our ships.

So does she have the blood of her own on her hands ?

I've no doubt the Tories would be capable of much the same. They'll all drag out their "plausible deniability" and discredit anyone who happens to come up with the proof. They'll (no matter the side) have plenty of media defenders. Then when we're all dead, our great-grandchildren only perhaps will learn what scum we had as leaders. We are all suffering through an era where our political classes are simply beneath contempt.

Correct.

The whole thing reeks of political gamesmanship from the Tories.

The tories have destroyed themselves here.

Pretty much this. Slippery sods the lot of them. It still amazes me how people want any of them to have as much power over their lives as they currently do, seemingly on no better grounds than "they are better than the other lot". Baffling.

Wasnt a certain Mr Bin Laden supported by our great allies America back in the 1980s?

All governments have blood on their hands and to say otherwise is nonsense it turns my stomach but we the great unwashed can do nothing about it.

To make too much political capital out of it though, from ANY party is a very dangerous game as the old saying goes what goes around, tends to come around.
