Quick one to help my footie knowledge.

In the Spanish second division you have Barcelona B and Villareal B.

What would happen if one of these got promoted?

Always wondered.

or both ?

Ajax Youth enter their cup competition, I think they have done quite well some years as well.

I don't think they can get promoted.....massive guess there though

They can't get promoted. The next team on the list would get promoted.

a correct one, they cant go up as one club cant have two sides in the same division (which actually caused Barca C, at the time in Segunda División B, to fold when Barca B dropped into their division)

What if Barcelona got relegated and Barcelona B got promoted in the same season

in theory they could switch, but what almost certainly would happen is that most of the Barca first team would be demoted to the B side... though the spanish FA would never let them, or real madrid, even come close to relegation.

Good question, I never knew they can't play in the same division.

What's the incentive for Barcelona B? Getting into Barcelona A?

Think so. I only guessed or presumed it from my knowledge of FM11 though

I always looked at it as simple as being their reserve team, which plays in a lower league. If you play well enough, you get called up to the "A" Team, where you are met by Bad Attitude Baracus, who makes a tank out of sandwich

Pretty sure Bojan for instance used to play for the under 19's team at the age of 14 or something, then the B team, then A team when Face took a shining to him
