I blame the royals they made big game hunting a popular pastime popular then the likes of Theodore Roosevelt and a whole load of other mega rich bells followed I think it's still associated with being superior to anything else that moves in some circles.

If you hadn't heard, owner of Arsenal Stan K has just launched a TV channel dedicated to hunting - in many cases seriously threatened species. It's pretty graphic. The media is already putting pressure on Arsenal fans to do something, so I just wondered what fans on here would do. This may be in the wrong forum, but it's an example of how we have no control over what owners of our clubs do.

well it's hardly illegal and trophy hunting actually supports conservation efforts with the money it brings in

I find it weird how people will go off about hunting whilst eating meat
seems like more an argument from personal distaste than any well reasoned objection

Simple - the best way to hit back is to not subscribe to the channel. Advertisers will avoid it if they have any sense or face a social media storm for supporting such a channel. I give it six months before it folds. I'm surprised such a supposed sensible businessman would start such a venture.

Many such wealthy businessmen, and similarly, politicians, are wholly out of touch with the rest of the humans on the planet. I suspect it comes from being surrounded by mindless sycophants who want to appease them, and agree with their ideas, however idiotic or extreme, in the hope of getting into their inner circle.
