Yes mate, it's a brilliant place to go. Ridiculously cheap. Where are you staying?

it is good, but it's a bit of a cliche now, too many "Essex" types heading there now for the same reason

you could go there ironically I suppose, but...

Lithuania is far more interesting, cheaper and fun, the birds are nicer too

We are just deciding on a destination mate but it's looking like Krakow can you recommend a place to stay? We were looking at renting apartments but don't think anyone will put a deposit down in case it gets wrecked so prob a hotel

Yes mate, I stayed at krakow days here - http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...w_Lesser_Poland_Province_Southern_Poland.html

its amazing, and you get breakfast and the rooms are brilliant. About a ten minute walk from the town centre and 20 from the train station p, it's direct opposite to a Chinese takeaway if you fancied that.

Just reading there, it's the #1 rated hotel in krakow, it was brilliant like.

Mate we rented a massive apartment, there were 10 of and it supposedly slept 14. If there had have been 4 more of us I dont know where they would have been sleeping especially after one of the lads pissed the bed on the 1st night! But it was class and well worth it, very cheap between us all and we only paid a deposit for the booking, paid the rest on arrival so we were never worried about getting money back after we left. We didnt trash the place though (pissy bed apart). Well, well worth it

My own tip would be to get to the Kazimierz District (The historic Jewish district) - a ten minute walk outside the city walls. It's really funky with loads of cool bars.

A few quotes from Tripadvisor:

Great place for food and drink and general ambience, very busy in summer and loads of cafes, resturants, beer gardens to pick from, all within a small area.

I found that Kazimerz is a great night out better than the old town as all the bars restaurants are located in 2 squares which are back to back. There is also a market in the middle of one square. I spent the day in a bar over looking the street then went bar hopping. a great night from what i remember.Next time i go to Krakow i will be booking a Hotel in Kazimierz.

This was the area we enjoyed most after the main square. Very busy, lively and a super atmosphere. Some really nice eating places and one which contained the best food we had tasted anywhere in the city. Great character in the buildings which although quite old, were given colour by the various shops and bars many of which have outside seating where you can watch the colourful world go by.
