Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
6 months backdated for failing his drugs test, so he'll be able to start playing again in September. And people have a go at cycling for doping. Not surprising football doesn't have more stories with such a lax attitude towards doping.

Of course, it might just be that footballers don't dope. :dodgy:

I'm more convinced every day that all first class sport is rife with it.
they should just legalise it and be done

It's rife in cycling, everyone knows this

Hardly "doping" though is it?

Toure admitted the offence - his first - contrary to Regulation 3 of the FA Doping Regulations 2010-11.
But the panel took into consideration the circumstances behind his use of water tablets belonging to his wife.
Headed up by Christopher Quinlan QC, the commission were satisfied Toure did not intend to enhance sporting performance or to mask the use of a performance-enhancing substance.

Don't understand carrying it over summer. Totally pointless.
Early March I think.. Not sure of the exact date but the club(probably acting on legal advice)sat him out of the remainder of the season from that point knowing he'd get at least 6 months which would effectively mean the close season as well.

And you believe it's not rife in football as well? The FA don't take blood when testing so can't even test for EPO. The Operation Puerto case that busted loads of cyclists revolved around Dr Fuentes. On his books were a **** load of other athletes, tennis players, footballers etc. yet only the cyclists were named and shamed. It's fishy as hell, and to think that a sport that requires athletes to run 10,000metres twice a week won't benefit from artificially enhanced endurance is incredibly naive.

I would be amazed if it didn't go on. Did you know for instance that many cyclists died from taking this as it thickens the blood, so when you sleep unless you take something to thin it out you can die from it. Of course all the footballers dying from heart failure in recent times will have nothing to do with this.
