Thoughts?

Seen Nigel Farage is as low as 2/1 to pick up a honour next week. Absolute baffled by it.

Just a weird system and it seems not much is needed to get one. The people on the selection process need vetting seriously.

Seems to be a system where you get acknowledged for being particularly good at acquiring wealth for yourself, knowing someone in government, having been to public school, giving cash to the tory party, or to maintain popularity of the system amongst the peoples - be well known for a lifetime in sport or on the telly.

If there was a knighthood for giving up decent pay compared with what my qualifications could've seen and having to put up with morons* to teach kids for a lifetime and get decent results I'd be up for that. When I started teaching you used to get a bit of cake and tea with the mayor after 25 years service to the town. Don't even get that meager recognition anymore.

Also would be good to regularly see public workers, firemen and nurses honoured properly after a lifetime vocation

*Ofsted and practically every education minister
