Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions. Today has been better than yesterday, and hopefully tomorrow will improve upon today. So forth and so on. It will be a welcome sight to see Everton on the pitch on Saturday. At least I hope so.

You'll be like a new signing.

The most important thing I swear by this. There is a massage technique called MLD ( Manual Lymph Drainage ) Find a massage therapist that pactices this. She/He can get that swelling and fluid build up out. I wish it was an option after my Right knee/ Leg surgery.

Keep up the spirits and do what they say.

I haven't done MLD, but wratho is right to recommend getting the fluid out. Swelling (fluid) is what causes the most discomfort, so reducing that is key to feeling better and making progress with range of motion, etc. I was doing ice/e-stim/and periodic ibuprofen for the first few weeks and it definitely helped.

I may have mentioned this previously in PMs also, but make sure you do scar mobility stuff once the stitches have dissolved or fallen off. You really don't want that sucker to adhese to the bone or any other tissue near the site. It's pretty easy, and if they haven't provided you with any instructions (or the PT doesn't), let me know.

Its funny to watch orthopedic surgery. You sit in the OR thinking they are going to bring out all the high tech s##t. However the primary tools they use the same saws, drills and hammers you find at home depot. Its pretty barbaric. The coolest thing I saw in the OR was a guy with a dislocated hip. The Dr. brought out a huge mallet and started to bash that sucker back in place.

Get well soon.
