Man Utd: Jurgen Klopp rules out move from Borussia Dortmund

Jurgen Klopp has ruled himself out of contention to become the next manager of Manchester United.

The 46-year-old Borussia Dortmund coach had been among the leading candidates to replace David Moyes, who was sacked by United on Tuesday.

"I find it a little uncomfortable having to turn somebody down without them making an enquiry," Klopp said.

"But it seems like I have got to do it anyway. There are about 1,000 reasons why I'm so happy to be working here."

Klopp has won the Bundesliga title twice with Dortmund since he replaced Thomas Doll as manager in 2008. He also guided them tolast season's Champions League final, in which they lost to Bayern Munich.

Klopp extended his Dortmund contract until 2018 in October last year and said that, although United are a "really great club", he is not tempted to leave Westphalia for Old Trafford. "I'm still really happy here," the German added.

Klopp has also been linked with a move to Barcelona next season, but says "nobody has to have any concerns" about him breaking his deal with Dortmund.

It would be funny if a load of managers all came out and said that they weren't interested......really looking forward to Pardew doing it......

Klopp would be the ideal choice. A manager with personality and charisma, good footballing philosophy that promotes youth and is also a winner.

Looks like it will be Van Gaal. We'll see though.

van gaal would be bad decision imo...spot on about klop...
simeone is greasy hothead who wouldnt last two seasons.

Can I vault myself on this one? No? Doing it anyway.

Why would he leave Dortmund, though?

CL group stage next year and just won a cup. Plenty accomplished, plenty of opportunities. Bayern won't be invincible forever.

Dortmund's a big club. Capable of winning the Champions League I reckon.

Klopp has built his empire how he sees fit there, and every year they hit the knockouts of the CL makes it that much harder for Bayern to poach.

Drop mic, 90 degree spin, exit stage left.
