Evening Gents, trying to help out my Mrs with her dissertation and we're looking at rebranding of football clubs (She's a Hull Tigers fan. I got slapped for calling them Hull Tigers). In regards to the badge change does anyone know where she could source kit sales for last season and so far this season.

Cheers! :)

don't know mate but when last with Umbro they were knockin em out for a tenner and heard they made a bigger profit doing that than when they were at 40 odd quid, in fact they were £7 as well at 1 point. So they must've sold a hell of a lot more of them for that to be the case.

Club prob dont have the figures btw as it's all run by kitbag & they dont even get commission so prob dont even get the figures.

The kitbag site just links back to Everton direct so I'm sure the numbers would be lurking around somewhere.

Because Everton is a PLC it has to release details unfortunately, it lumps marketing, sponsorship and merchandising in the same bracket.

It's the actual numbers of shirts sold, like for example in terms of Amazon sales, have we sold less merch because of the badge change? I know the deal through kitbag is one fixed fee so income is set.

I hope we made kitbag less money this year, the club will know how many shirts have been sold because when it comes to renegotiating, they'll need to know if the deal with kitbag is the most profitable avenue.

The club do get commission with the Nike deal.

I've said here before but it is a fcuking joke. Depressing to walk into sports shops anywhere and not see a sign of the Everton shirt.

Better to have the kit widely available and sell less, than have it exclusively carried by one supplier.
Basically we've surrendered shop floor and shelf space to all other clubs in the country, and abroad too.

Everton direct, kitbag or whoever deals with the actual sales and shipping of merchandise should be ashamed of themselves. Its beyond a joke... its an embarrassment honestly. I have numbers bit going through my experience of buying online, our club must be missing out of millions.

Its dire !!

To not having stock of the shirt of choice in your size, customer service, to be waiting 24 business days for delivery abroad (I dont live on the moon like)...... to be left waiting so long, I just cancel my order and get my money back. Then having been reimbursed, my shirt eventually somehow finds my house, in effect getting a free shirt, they don't DONT track overseas orders. No such thing as tracking with our club.

Not bemoaning a freebie but if this is what is happening, then shirt sales must be [Poor language removed]. No wonder we're not a popular choice on that list.
