GrandOldTeam Poll.

There has been lengthy discussion on Evertons proposed ground move to Kirkby, now we just want numbers! So assuming that the new stadium design met your approval and isn't just a big lump of soulless plastic (like Boltons Reebok stadium) Would you be in favour of the Kirkby ground move? Scroll up to cast your vote!

Results of the poll will be forwarded to Everton.

Ground move

I appreciate what you're trying to do here but is it really as cut and dry as a yes or no? My initial answer would be a definate no but once all alternative options have been taken into consideration (and probably rejected, including the re-development of GP) I would have to say yes. We cannot survive at Goodison in its present state therefore if the only alternatives are stay and die or take our chances and move, I would have to say move. Or am I just being picky??? Keep up the good work! COYB

Good first post Rudstone.

And I agree with you. Whilst we strive to recognise our history its important to move forward as winning trophies is what we need to get back to.

If Liverpool Council could offer an alternative around the same area then I would be up for that, the bottom line is that Knowsley Council have come up with the goods and its less than four miles from Goodison. Move and evolve.

Completely agree Ruddy. Ian Ross Yesterday said the only consultation to date the club have had with fans is from an online poll, a meeting with shareholders groups, and Yesterday's meeting with KEIOC.

This poll is just out of curiosity to perhaps give an early indication of views towards a ground move.

No.

I just dont feel the need to move out of our actual city, the place where we originate from, why???

We're going to end up like Bolton and im having none of it.

Cal, Kirkby is in Liverpool mate. Its a feeble argument. How about if we were to move to Bootle? Its in Sefton, would everybody be on the case then? Its four [Poor language removed] miles from Goodison.

By saying that you are calling me and Danny wools. Thats not a good thing.

we originate from?

We came from Everton which at the time WAS NOT in Liverpool, so if we go to where we originate from it either has to be Everton or somewhere outside of the city.

As chico said, this argument is feeble.

I really can't make up my mind. Although the idea of being Tesco's bitch isn't that appealing. I suppose its better than what's happened to Liverpool, MU and City (if it goes ahead). I mean there's some murky investors out there, although anyone who has made 500 million odd to buy a footy team is hardly likely to be squeaky clean.

This Kirby in Liverpool thing is so Liverpool (anyone noticed how territorial we can be?). It's not like anyone thinks people from Kirby aren't scousers. Maybe they should just change the council and call Kirby Liverpool and be done with it.

I think people are worried about "giving the City to Liverpool". Well if we move, we are gonna get a load of [Poor language removed] from kopites saying "we are a wooly back team or worse". But if we stay, they'll give us [Poor language removed] for something else. Its not like we are moving to Brighton or anything.

But does anyone out there by now, not know how to handle a Liverpool fans taunts?

Not lost a slanging match once.

Still not decided on the move, but it is obvious to everyone that our ground needs redevelopment and an increase in the quality and quantity of facilities. My biggest problem is the total lack of options. Anytime you are forced into a yes or no question (I'm not referring to the Poll but the actual situation) or a limited number of options, your are in a position of anti-wealth.

We should be looking at a selection of sites, oppportunities and sponsors/investors. Not Kirby or nothing.

I think the board owe it to the fans and the heritage of the club to look deeply into all options available before signing these exclusivity agreements.

the [Poor language removed] can't taunt us with that, any of us can just simply say either of two things.

Half of the kop isn't in liverpool

or

Our new grounds have ALWAYS been outside of the city, so we are just keeping up with tradition.
