A 52-expletive rant, now Joe Kinnear is just criminal as he names Barton as his leader

Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear has dealt another blow to the club's fans by claiming controversial midfielder Joey Barton could save their miserable season.

On the eve of Newcastle's match at Everton in Barton's home city of Liverpool, where he was jailed for three months for assault, Kinnear has backed the player the club have tried to sack and sell in the past three months.

The former Wimbledon boss has identified 26-year-old Barton as a key dressing-room ally and said: 'Joey Barton, without a doubt, is one who would be in the Crazy Gang for the simple fact that he's crazy. He is very infectious, just like Danny Guthrie.

'We need somebody to be ranting and screaming information. We don't have that at the moment and I imagine when Joey comes back that might change. He's a chirpy lad with things to say and he might improve things on the communication front.'

omg could he play him against us or is he banned ?
to save time before a manager loses the plot up there they have this time decided to appoint one who clearly already has.

Wasnt Guthrie the one who shouldve been banned for that horrific tackle a couple of weeks ago?

Barton's a player we missed.

A local kid that for whatever reason ended up at City... I know so many people hate the guy, but he's a football player - not much going on upstairs, but runs his heart out for 90 min every chance he gets....

Say what you like, but you know you'd love to have a dirty [Poor language removed] like him on your Sunday League team...
