It never did me any harm

*drools onto keyboard and loses equilibrium

But you can still spell it.

Ever. Seen an intelligent defender or striker? Goalies and midfielders tend to have some sense..

Coincidence?? ;)

Gary Lineker is on record saying he avoided too much heading as he was wary of potential damage.

Wingers across the country agree with this.

ha! that was my position, i've never enjoyed heading the ball...was pretty useless at it, tbf.

Its hardly like Aiden McGeady is lashing wicked crosses in and taking kids heads off is it. Children are crossing the ball to children ffs.

Some kids in my school had a ferociously hard shot, and cross too if they put their mind to it.

But it's not even about that, it's mostly about those long clearances and the ball coming back down from above at speed gravity dictates, and the lad plonking it on his head. I was a bit of a wuss at these things and often waited for the ball to bounce first.

when you have a 24 hour news channel any old [Poor language removed] will do when it comes to breaking news, I've seen some crap on that yellow bar including Cheryl and ashleys divorce and terry and bridge non handshake.

same [Poor language removed] different day

It's pretty obvious that heading a ball can't be good for you long term, but I think it is a very very small risk of doing any serious damage.
Let the kids play I say
