I'm taking mine to school at 6am on Monday morning. They can look after themselves until it opens on Thursday.

Winds me up that schools can’t be bothered opening on Mondays after a half term etc. Just do the teacher training day on a Sunday or the week before.

Think of the parents ffs.

Surely they can have teacher training days in school holidays. Being in Manchester we don't go back till week after next. Even then the start day for our little one is a Thursday. :Blink:

. I honestly would love to get rid of the majority of these school holidays.We complain our kids are behind other countries. Yet we take 1/4 of the year and say no schooling. Get kids in school more so they can be educated, and parents don't have to take endless weeks off work or earn less money with reduced hour contracts. Rant over.

I agree with that mate. I understand teachers need breaks however just increase their pay and try to recruit more teachers. I’m not that savvy on teaching but am sure they are paid crap for what they have to put up with. With what’s gone on this year with kids missing valuable time in school I thought(hoped) they may introduce Saturday as a school day to let them catch up.
