Khan v Garcia

have to describe my 'fighting style' as 'Bootle S**Tfaced Boxing', you know where you throw a roundhouse very closely followed by a piruette

I think the most appropriate comment on khan is his lacks boxing IQ , he seems to know why he wants but pretty much as soon as the punches start to land his head goes , in fairness often before . Khan just seems to forget or disregard his 'plan' and whether it's his intention to 'prove' himself or not I find it incredibly frustrating .

Ion the general boxing chat I used to box and I was the worst possible combination in that I coud take a punch but was a bit crap which pretty much meant I regularly got my head boxed off . I started MMA training twice a week a few months ago as much as the cardio as anything as I've been focusing on the weights and I find it fascinating , I'm not sure how much the boxing helps to be honest if anything for me could even be a hindrance (if that makes sense ?). I do enjoy it though and I have watched it in the past but to be honest taking part has massively increased my appreciation of it , as said earlier in the thread the technique of some of the youngsters is incredible especially combined with long arms 'damn them' ! You look at the likes of that lad from Huyton paddy pimblett his appearance is so deceptive compared to his ability

i seem to be oddity here. i used to train both mma & boxing but in the end I chose boxing.

I stopped boxing years ago mate and recently wanting to up my cardio started MMA for a bit of variety but boxing was and is 'my first love' , I would watch it pretty much ahead of any sport (everton aside obviously) . There is a a lot to MMA but for me certainly on an entertainment level boxing is No1
