All the fantastic memories of Sheeds, but the funniest I recall was an away game at Oldham(may have been one of those ill fated Cup games)stood on the open Terrace it was baltic, the team came out to have a bit of a "warm up" about twenty minutes before kick off,Sheeds came out last, did a half hearted touch your toes routine and beggared off back to the changieslollollol

....remember he told Neil Pointon not to get involved in a 50/50 with McMahon coz he'd get done. Pointon didn't heed that advice and got pollaxed. When McMahon later was on the receiving end and lay on the floor, Sheedy had a sly kick at him and then shuffled away. He didn't like the cold, he didn't tackle, he didn't run but what a footballer.

Was going to reply,he couldn't head either Eggs, but remembered the 5-0 v Man U when he got knocked out by Moran for a goal:)

He always looked freezing cold and I reckon I could outsprint him even now but he just oozed class. He clearly hated Liverpool as well which made me love him even more. I often wondered how he fitted in to jack charltons kick anything that moves hoofball Ireland team

Remember going to Belfield to watch them training, the squad were running around the pitch, and yards and yards behind was this lone figure, Sheeds, I was standing next to Duncan McKenzie,I said laughing "look at Sheeds" Duncan replied " he will be going for a shave in a minute,if he's not too knackered" one of the slowest players I have ever seen, but what a player.

Someone posted this on twitter the other day and I found it a fascinating watch. I can remember virtually everything about the 84-85 season and still have the old VHS tapes but I was quite ill during this season and in hospital for most of it so watching this is fascinating. Oh and it is on topic, there are some unbelievable Sheeds moments. The lobbed through ball being my favourite....
