Bah, don't agree with that mate, the main reason was he couldn't make any decent teams because of the racist quotas they have in place in SA, and came to England as an off spinner who batted at 8. He became the world class cricketer he is on England's shores.

Nah mate, he would have made the Proteas side in a couple of years no doubt. Look at the other whiteys that have made the Proteas since KP left, and most not fit to lace his boots from a skill level. Admittedly would have taken him longer to play international cricket than in England though.

Reckon like most Saffers overseas he left for the money. Even if he'd made the Dolphins and Proteas squads early he'd never have earned as much as he did moving to England. The race quota card was a convenient excuse to justify his decision.
