Great turn of pace, an eye for goal...

Was sad to hear this, sadder to hear the reasons. There's been a bit of talk about concussions and the potential impact of new research on the subject on sport in general. Personally, I feel that risk is inevitable in sport and should be accepted, but conventional thinking is probably going to go out the window once technology that can identify CTEs early is perfected. Best of luck anyway Kev, always gave your best in an Irish shirt

Broke the mould for many others who didn't get picked up as 16 year old in Ireland. Without Doyler Seamus may not have been picked up.

Was technically limited but always put in a shift and a half. Only outscored by Ronaldo and Henry I think in 05/06 with that good Reading side of Steve Coppell.

We could have done a lot worse at the time that get him. Far more effective that the likes of Jellyfish and others we had under Moyes.

All the best Kev.

Oh come on, mikey. He scored 37 goals in 164 appearances. That's a far lower strike rate than Jelavic, who turned out a bit crap.
