Strange one. I'd be more inclined to think it is an error on the writers behalf, be that unintentional or deliberate, but then you never know.
He's keen to voice the fact that he spent many a day on the Goodison terraces, but equally he has said that he's spent time over the Park.
As a trained actor he understand image so how can we be sure who the true Bill is. Owning a club is much easier if you're a fan yourself.

Maybe he watched matches at both grounds . My dad did , in the sixties. Finished work on Saturday, got changed at home , met up with mates at the pub then went to watch whoever was playing at home that week . A common thing in those days
It was quite common to go to whoever was at home.
Yeah its not like these days where you need a 2nd mortgage to go the game, it was affordable.
