The company made 2 mill profit. I think I read that was after he'd had Â£400k in salary and Â£3m in dividends.

He's bound to have a tax haven. The club is scratching round for Â£500k to try and sign someone and he's making atleast 7 times that amount per year. I know he's not a billionaire and it wouldn't be good business sense to put money into a loss-making enterprise but it just doesn't seem right.

I hope you don't find the following rude, but, "bound"? IIRC if he is sinking his income abroad he is only allowed so many nights in the UK unless he tries a Green sham and keeps it in his Mrs account and she stays abroad.

If I had a few quid and needed to dream up a legit reason for having the cat away whilst the pigeons stray, that'd be it.

I would be aghast if Bill didn't have a few tax dodges going on. Taking is salary in dividends is one to begin with.
