Look forward to reading this, don’t suppose there’s going to be an audiobook also?, I’m a big fan of drifting off to sleep listening to something.

Has anybody read the Gavin Buckland book about the same period? I know he has covered all of the modern history, but I'm wondering if they are any good. I've heard him make some interesting comments about this time in our history and am curious if his books are worth a read or if I should avoid on the basis that he, apparently, was rather soft on Kenwright during his tenure.

I've got it and about three quarters through it and it's been an excellent read so far. Plenty of stuff I'd forgotten about or simply didn't know about and challenges a few narratives about 1985 to 1994.

Certainly recommend it to anyone who supported the club between that period.

Reading it myself at the moment. It’s really good. And yeah, for a period I thought I was well versed in, having been obsessed at the time, there’s loads of interesting stuff I didn’t know. We made some fundamental errors when Kendall Mk 1 left, as a club. Didn’t build and missed his ruthlessness. Was also interesting to see Kendall wanted Lineker during the 84/85 season - think it was in the March.
