Keeping up with tech

This thread is great..

I completely get it. There is an elegance and appeal about simplicity.

As someone who works in IT I freely admit that I can't keep up with new tech that the kidz can so easily get their heads around.

Those kidz didn't learn all the old tech either, the current tech is all they know. I imagine in 5 years time they will be hankering for the good old days.

You spend £200 on piece of kit, after a couple of weeks you get a glitch, and take it back to the store.

The assistant looks at it, as if you have brought an ancient artifact for appraisal.

I spend most of the time trying to find the ON-OFF button on most stuff.

Luckily I have an in-house IT tech ( my 19 year old son) who assists.
