So today in my Latin class the word "juventus" came up in our text (Livy's Ab urbe condita, great stuff), and my professor asked if anyone is familiar with the Italian football team Juventus. The Italian exchange student in my class then spoke up and went on a huge rant about how everyone in Italy hates them because they are known cheaters and win everything. It was pretty funny considering she had barely spoken in class the whole semester.

Anyway in light of this what are your own jthoughts on Juventus, ranging from their current team, to the match fixing scandal, to their years with Lippi and Capello as manager, and even beyond that, what do you think about them?

First Italian team that I fell in love with. Del Piero, Zidane, Davids. Then uber snide in Montero.

They are a horrible club, their is a lot of them in Italy. What they were doing, Moggi and co., was disgusting in Calciopoli. Their history is littered with scandals.

This season I thought they would win Europa with final being at home, but not convinced now, Benfica and Sevilla lookgood sides.

They're trying to get Benfica's Enzo Perez banned for the Europa League 2nd leg on Thursday for allegedly elbowing Chiellini last week. They're a bunch of snides.

I've always supported them since I was young. I've got relatives down south who support them and go to a couple of games a year and it rubbed off on me. I remember wearing my Juventus shirt to school when Liverpool were playing them in 2005 in the Champions League to try and [Poor language removed] the kopites. This badly backfired when Liverpool won 2-1 on aggregate, though. Got a bit of stick for that.

I know as a club they're a bunch of bastards but I can't help but like them.
