Washing machine. Before you plug it in, make sure transport fixings removed from under the top, or the drum suspension will die quickly. Will vary make to make, but make sure you read the manual on installing..
Good luck and have fun :D

Very good advice.

First time I didn't - thought the washing machine was coming through the wall it was so noisy...

Get an accountant mate who specializes in tax. I could tell you a few horror stories about lads doing their own, getting it wrong and then getting a tax bill. £27,000 one lad.
Cost me £180 a year but I can sleep at night.

Going back to topic, my Mrs said a few weeks ago that the shower water had started emptying slower than usual. So me thinking it would take 5 minutes to get any crap out of the pipes started trying to unblock the pipe leading into the drain. Ended up in the drain, up to my elbows in all kinds of stuff and finished the job about 4 hours later. 'Kin fuming I was.
Very familiar with this kind of pain. It's always the way with DIY. Unless it's your day job, you never have all the tools and those invaluable time saving know hows.
I've lost count of the amount of 5 min jobs that have stretched out over the horizon.

Discovered what I thought was a hollow plasterboard wall has less than 10mm gap behind it before the masonry today. Got 3 big holes in it now from trying to use those fixings you hammer in and they expand behind the plasterboard when you put the screw in. Bugger.

Going to have to go and buy a chuck key (lost mine) and a masonry drill bit and get my drill working now and do the job properly lol

At least I can put the thing I wanted to fix on the wall over the holes.

Did you try caustic soda or a bottle of drain unblocker overnight

I've done all sorts of DIY. Plumbing in a washing machine or dish washer is not difficult to be honest. Basic repairs to a ship's radar is a bit more complicated and dangerous, but I've done that. I've fitted a bathroom on my own, but having a professional do the latest one has shown me that just being able to do it isn't the same as knowing how to do it properly. So if you want to DIY, fine. If you want a professional job hire a professional.

Gerron you
