It doesn't really matter though does it, when we are asking the question is the Quran compatible in a western society.

The bible isn't really compatible with the current Western way of life either though, is it? Drink as much as you can, lay as many women as you can, get the biggest TV you can, look after number one, consume all you can, make as much profit as possible etc. I don't think Jesus would approve.

I get what you're saying but for the reasons I have stated throughout the last two or three pages, it's not the same.

The Quran is fundamentally different than all other major religious books, not just in content but also in format.

Again, 'the most important video on Islam' in youtube will explain it and will be a starting point ( a very brief one) if you want to educate yourself on the difference.
