Heads up for those into Juno Reactor, who are quite possibly the greatest electronic dance act ever, lots of trance and world flavours and epic live setup.

They'll be showing off their new album (a back to the future romp) at the 20th Antaris festival, 2 hours north-west from Berlin, in July.

Check out the dreamy Bladerunner-inspired opener from the new album:

Here be the festival, full of colourful happy people and lots of trippy music:

i'll be there with some of my favourite people, so any lids interested get in touch! I always bring my Everton top to festivals, be nice to have one or two more blues among all those hippy colours

Wow, they still going?

"High Energy Protons" was one of the first techno/trance records I bought.

I've got a fair bit of their stuff, they made some nice records.

aye, high-energy protons was one of the first Goa Trance productions that went mainstream (meaning made it outside Goa). Juno, Hallucinogen & Astral Projection, with Goa Gil, have a lot to answer for.

1999's Shango took Juno in a more Leftfield direction, but the new album sees them going back to more classic 4/4 Juno Reactor goodness.

this is roughly what to expect from a Juno Reactor live show:

For those not sure who they are, you might recognise them from The Matrix soundtrack, or from this song:

Speaking of Hallucinogen, Simon Posford is a genius.

Shpongle, Hallucinogen, Younger Brother. Amazing stuff.

Saw Juno play with The Orb back in the day.

Nice. How were Juno live back then?

I saw The Orb play in London, with Gong supporting!

Scenes.

blue, you probably recognise these names (they're also playing live sets at Antaris):

Eat Static UK
Man With No Name UK
Ajja CH
Green Nuns Of The Revolution UK
Kox Box DK
Parasense RUS
Tron UK

Funny thing, my mate runs a PA hire company with Merv's son, Eat Static played a gig in an old silk mill round the back of my house a couple of months ago. Merv lives in the same town as me.

Don't know Ajja but all the rest of those have made some cool records over the years.

Can't remember a great deal about Juno Reactor live back then it was the earlyish 90s and I was in my first love affair with LSD :-D
