His dad barely acknowledged his existence and actually said some appalling things, like how he was just the result of drunken Saturday night. Massive hypocrite was John Lennon, that's why I've never liked him particulary. Preaching about love when his own first child he treated like a piece of dirt (left him nothing in his will either or let him meet Sean).

McCartney according to Julian though actually went out of his way to look out for him and took him on holiday with his own kids a few times. Sound fella is Paul.

How much of that was down to Yoko and their drug fuelled binges which left him immobilised and housebound for years.

In the latter days when John was getting clean, he met with Cynthia and Julian many times and Yoko was apparently annoyed at the thought and tried to keep them apart.
