Your body processes liquid form within an hour as appose to 24-48 hours for solid foods. So you are benefitting from the nutrients almost instantly.

You're detoxifying your body and giving your digestive system a much needed rest and to clear itself out. See it like an oil change for your car.

Body naturally detoxifies itself you just need to drink water, it's a massive myth built up by the detox industries, read up on dr's opinions on it, they all think it's rubbish...just make sure you don't read the ones sponsored by detox companies/juicer makers :lol:

Detoxifying is quackery at it's finest, but fasting has been used for thousands of years and you'll find plenty of doctors and biochemists who advocate it. Just depends where you look, and if the people giving their opinions are well read in that area.

Whether you actually need the benefits of fasting though, that might be debatable. Our current diets are actually faddy, in the sense of they are new and haven't been around for that long. With the advent of fridges, microwaves, processed foods etc, if you want proof that our bodies aren't coping with this new high sugar/ high carb diet just look around at how peoples body shapes are different.

We probably agree tbh, it's just an easier way of prolonging the benefits of fating. Trust me water fasting isn't fun, if it makes it easier then it's not such a bad thing. Although I can never bring my self to plump down the £300+ for a juicer my self, so I'll stick with the water fasting. It's much cheaper!
