Chelsea captain John Terry has been charged by the Football Association after last season's incident with QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

Terry, 31, is alleged to have used "abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour" during the Premier League game on 23 October.
The FA statement continues: "It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Ferdinand."
Terry has until 3 August to respond.

Chelsea captain John Terry has been charged by the Football Association with using abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, the FA have confirmed.

Terry has denied the charge and has requested a personal hearing, his agent said in a statement.

A statement on the FA website read: "After seeking advice from an external Independent QC, and having considered the evidence and Magistrates' Court decision in the John Terry case, The FA has today charged the Chelsea player following an alleged incident that occurred during the Queens Park Rangers versus Chelsea fixture at Loftus Road on 23 October 2011.

"It is alleged that Terry used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Queens Park Rangers’ Anton Ferdinand, contrary to FA rules.

"It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Anton Ferdinand.

"This charge is the result of The FA’s long-standing enquiries into this matter, which were placed on hold pending the outcome of the criminal trial, and relates to rules governing football only.

"During this period John Terry remains available to play for England.

"Terry has until 3 August 2012 to respond.

"The FA will make no further comment during this time."

He's denied the charge so will face a disciplinary panel

And yet the same FA remained quiet about Dalglish's accusations of corruption within the FA.

They have also remained disgustingly quiet about Suarez's blatant accusations of the FA being corrupt, biased and run in favour of MUFC.

To HELL with the FA. Failure to act upon the allegations emanating form Anfield proves that they ARE corrupt, in as much as they are letting LFC off for a reason (whatever that may be) and have always bent over backwards to appease them.

Re: Terry. Putting someone on trial twice is a bit 'off'. Seems to be more about groveling to their Anfield gods than anything ethical.
