Have potentially now snubbed us. Usually in the past we could say it's down to the lack of funds available for transfers would scare potential managers off, but that is not the case anymore.

I think one of the main reasons is down to us, the fans. I'm sure the potential managers would have seen the shocking treatment Martinez got towards the end of his tenure. I'm sure Koeman would have thought highly of Roberto, he is a nice guy with defensive faults unfortunately. Why, would he leave Southampton with fans who actually support him? to join us and the new generation of fans who demand instant success or they pay for planes with banners to show their displeasure.

If, and it's a big if!! We end up with Moyes as manager and want someone to blame I suggest we all look in the mirror and take a long look at what we have become.

Nice guy or not, Martinez failed. The football club suffered due to his leadership and therefore he was put under pressure.

I think we can all agree we would prefer to be in a working environment were you are supported, treated well and most importantly given time to succeed. Rather than a bear pit, Koeman had a bad patch in the middle of the season, the fans stood by him. I've no doubt behind the scenes in recent weeks he would have contacted Martinez for his views of Everton and the fans.
