And this is completely irrelevant to his opinion on the morality of religion in that statement.

Basically he's getting at the idea of religon; the bible telling us to be better human beings and support our neighbours etc, well without religon 'good' people would automatically do this. Its also stating that like it or not, the world is filled with bad people (muderers, rapists etc), they are born that way, whether it takes 15-55 years for that to come out, it is in there make-up.

The 'good people to bad things' line is people committing henious crimes in the name of religon, when these are supposed to be 'good' people

^^^^ This really...... it's just his opinion at the end of the day..... the clever construction and composition of obviously pre chosen words to form an opinion is both biased and unreliable.
