Not trying to be provocative before I'm accused of it but honestly... Is it purely for political reasons he's not included in England's world cup squad ? It's probably contentious but he is arguably England's best centre half and an undoubtedly fantastic leader on the pitch. He may me despicable in many peoples minds but you need to see beyond your hatred...... If you want to compete with the best you need to have all the best tools at your disposal to do the job in hand....discuss. ( like adults please )

Let's put it simply.... Is he England's best defender and should he be at the world cup as a squad member.... Simple question really.

seriously kurt.he is still a good player for chelsea.
but rather see jags there really.
with rooney lampard johnson and gerard there we have enough problems.
time to give the young lads a go imo.barkley and stirling for instance may surprise a few.
