I know, I know.

HE'S PRICELESS
WE'RE NOT GOING TO SELL HIM
WE'VE GOT A JOHN STONES TRANSFER THREAD
and so on...

But there's a lot of talk at the minute concerning his value and so, I thought it would be interesting quantify opinion with a poll.

Transfers are part of the game, and every footballer has a price. What price would you consider 'acceptable' to sell John Stones?

Currently i think it's no more than 35m, he's still a rough diamond. If we keep him for at least a season, especially if he's gonna do well at Euro's, his value will skyrocket to 50m+

Young English talent.

Good on the ball, not afraid to tackle, good awareness, and has the potential to be a real leader, maybe even internationally. Mangala goes for £32m then Stones goes for £40m+, not that I believe he's worth that, but hey ho.

Shouldn't there be a don't sell at any price because his value will increase in a couple of years

£45-50m would apparently leave us with £40m+ after Barnsley's reported cut, which is huge money (we have to remember that this would put John Stones in the top 15 most expensive transfers of all time). It would need to be that kind of fee for me to sell him if I was Martinez or on the board.

That cash combined with the budget we currently have would allow us to drastically improve our squad.

4 years on his contract, sound lad unlikely to be a tit, english, unenglish traits of bossness, play this right and we could name our price in a years time, ideally he would captain us for 10 years, but the game dun changed

so the reality will be two 10 mill installments from utd some add ons, and some of their crappest players

Well Marquinhos went for what, 40 mil a couple of summers ago. Add on the premium on English players, the fact it's to a club in the same league and the fact we have to give Barnsley a sizeable wedge and you're looking at 50+ in my eyes.
