John McCarthy. 21 years since he was released

Just finished re- reading his account of 5 years as a hostage in Lebanon, and noticed that next month marks the 21st anniversary of his release. Remember it really well, Simon Mayo on the Radio 1 Roadshow announced his release, and I shed a few tears TBH.

If any of our younger listeners have not got a clue what I am on about, recommend reading is "some other rainbow" by McCarthy and Gill Morrell, or "an evil cradling" by Brian Keenan. Awesome stuff.
