I felt the Getaway was their weakest album for years with only the first single they released off it anywhere near a decent level. Not just on Josh that album though, I thought it was a really poor album.

Looking forward to hearing the new material in a few months though

Mad that, I enjoyed it lol still, John is the man and adds so much to them. Live at slaine castle is one of my favourite dvds of a concert ever.

I went to watch them live years ago and found them quite crap on that particular evening. I find sometimes that their music isn't as connected live as it sounds recorded. Because the Flea plays some outrageous bass lines which sound amazing recorded with John's melodies, that when it comes to them playing live it can sound a little miss mash. Keidis isn't the best live singer either, but he has a voice that is instantly recognisable on the radio.

I've always looked forward to listening to their music but I wouldn't be in a rush to watch them live again. I've got that Slaine Castle on dvd somewhere but have never watched it so will have to have a look at that.

Slaine is a really good concert, Flea and John do some little adhoc bits together on it, notably I feel love. I've never seen them live although on my bucket list.
