Joey Barton and Marseille

Basically, fairly untalented journo has nothing to write about, so he decides to type a pile of sh*te and doesn't think before he sends it to his editor who, being an employee of the Daily Mail, thinks "HAHAHAHAHAHA... GAYS... HAHAHAHAHA" and publishes.

Barton to sue and it's an open and shut case.

Daily Fail, living up to it's name.

A very poorly constructed attempt at sarcasm by the looks of thinks. What was he thinking?

No idea, hope the fat whopper gets sued into oblivion. It was intended to be ironic but he did it so badly that he just looks like a knob. Barton well within his rights to sue. He's obviously not offended by the accusation of being gay, I doubt he'd care because as much of a [Poor language removed] as he can be, he is fairly liberal when it comes to stuff like that and has said before that he supports gay rights. What it is is defamation and needlessly dragging his name up when it has no need to be done. Also even if he was gay it has nothing to do with anyone else

Might be wrong like, but didn't he(Walter)win writer of the year a few times?

With writing, it's about people seeing your work, not necessarily the quality of it. He's lucky enough to write for the Daily Fail so thousands of people see his work, thus he wins awards.

It's all opinion though. I find his writing to be terrible but I don't begrudge people who think otherwise.

Piers Morgan just tweeted - Piece was intended to be ironic, but was so crassly executed that people took it at face value. Poor journalism.

He's misjudged the public mood. He thought he could write whatever the hell he wanted because everyone despises Barton that nobody would care and just laugh at him.

It really is typical Daily Fail.

Saturday Mail is sound.. apart from the sport bit. He is bit of a knob on Sunday Supplement tbh.
