Joey Barton and Marseille

Player Valuation: £35m
It annoys the crap out of me that Joey Barton could be getting a sweet move to the south of france and getting to ply his trade in the beautiful city of Marseille. In my opinion, the only football he should be getting is in the gloomiest of towns such as Walsall, Mansfield or Halifax...and he should be forced to hate every minute of it, not least by being told he has to clean the boots of the YTS lads

I hate that gobsh1te

If you really hate someone you've never met, might I suggest filling your life with a sufficient quantity of things you enjoy so as never to let people like Barton cross your mind.

[Poor language removed] like him always land on their feet, hopefully he fails miserably over there and they end up hating him as much as QPR fans do.

generally i do just that. But then i can't help seeing reports on it. It's not like I sit in the corner thinking about who i hate

I always preferred Batman to Bruce Wayne anyway

Y'see, I just read your attempt to rile me, but it's up to me if I choose to be bothered or not. It aint really so tough. If you don't want to be annoyed by Joey Barton, don't be. I dare say he doesn't give you a second thought.

Joey is definitely in the last chance saloon far as his career is concerned and if 'The Battery Boy' sorts his demons out he might do down well there, I do have my doubts though.

I'm glad he's being treated like this by Hughes given the way he was ****ging Warnock off and half-way up Hughes' arse last January.

Just when you thought he couldn't be any more ridiculous

Joey Barton, who is currently on loan at French Ligue 1 side Olympic Marseille, speaks at a press conference - in English, but with a distinct French accent. In the video, he suggests the French league is boring, and defends himself against accusations of poor tackling. He follows in the footsteps of Steve McClaren, who famously spoke English with a Dutch accent while managing FC Twente

Hahahaha.

I've got a lot of close family/friends in Spain who can speak English as a second language and they all say speaking English in a Spanish accent makes it easier for them to understand. Weird i know. It does happen if you spend a lot of time in any country.

It's still cringey as [Poor language removed] to watch!

- My uncle has a romanian girlfriend and he lives in spain, so he speaks english in a romanian spanish hybrid so she can understand better

- when i talk to people my words sometimes come out with a scouse tinge even though i don't live in/have never lived in liverpool because i spend a lot of time with people who speak it

- I think it sounds boss his accent, he should keep speaking like that
