He was only 24/25 when he left and went on to play very well for city and others,should have kept him IMHO,imagine him and big bob wreaking havoc together!!!
Talking of havoc.Your post made me think of the 8-0 Soton game Royle hat-trick and David Johnson 4 (another player,although a lousy Kopite we let go too soon)...then I remembered Peter Scott and looked him up,hard to believe he played 50 games for us.

That was a dire period the early 1970's wasn't it,I started going around then,I think Peter Scott was a right back,very average player,although as a kid I thought he was cool as he was a northern ireland international!!

.....recall him really suffering with back trouble, Dario. Not sure if that was part of the reason he was allowed to leave but as you say, he was useful elsewhere.

Yep I remember that Eggs,I think he'd struggled for a couple of years with it,maybe they(him and Big Bob) may not have complimented each other,but two fine centre forwards in their own right.
