Khalekan

Player Valuation: £80m
i don't know why this came into my head just now but the first time ever I watched us play Hammers was in 1973 and I was stood in the Street End right behind the goal when Joe Haroer scored the only goal of the game.

There's one for the teenagers.

:)

OK....who else was there?

Yup, I was!

Yes....October '73.

Great days, though the team wasn't good.

Wee Joe had come down from Aberdeen about a year before and must have beef one of Harry's last signings.

Those names bring back fond memories, Dario.....plus we had one of my all time favourites on the left wing.....the magician that was John Connolly ;)

This thread had me properly confused for a minute, until I realised it was Joe, and not Alan Harper, you were referring to.

Yes I was there too in The Street. I was made up when we signed Joe Harper but he didn't really gel here did he. John Connolly was great on the wing...I mentioned in another thread about the Altrincham replay at OT - John was the victim of a terrible alehouse tackle in the first game at Goodison and he broke his leg.
