Joe Brolly's rant on "cynical play"

I watch GAA from time to time and I think he doesn't get that 99.9% of players, that would be in guy's position as last man back and the forward is through on goal and about to score a goal that can go on to put them in the semi-final, would do the same thing. He does seem to have a dislike of Tyrone as well judging by the fact that he called them 'Tyrone b******s' a few years back.

This is the tackle he isn't happy about.

That is a cynical challenge and would be straight red in soccer as he was the last man

I think Brolly's anger is misplaced to be honest

It should be at the rules and not at the player (Who is doing what anyone else would do as you mentioned prior)

We will pretend you never wrote that

Joe might have went a little OTT there, but i certainly he had a valid point though, it was cynical.

On a side note did,nt Joe come to the rescue of a friend of his when all hope was lost by donating a kidney with not so much as a second thought.

Hard man to listen to Brolly and i'd say the way he reacted to that incident was born out of his hatred, for whatever reason Tyrone, he has since apologised to Kavanagh, quite rightly too.

I don't think they went ahead with that kidney transplant in the finish but fair dues to him on that point all the same.

Who won in the Hurling Semi last week by the way? It was Clare and Limerick wasn't it? Or is that the football Semi?

Clare won by 7 points, Clare v Cork now in a fortnights time, two unfancied teams in the final, they met earlier in the munster championship with Cork winning, might go to it, Ireland v Sweden on the friday night, then the hurling on the Sunday, makings of a decent weekend.
