Noticed on the news of 'record unemployment levels' - has anyone here been directly affected by the result slump?

I am now, all the way through this slump I have not once had to pay any bank charges, but it's starting to hit home now.

Good thing is, the job I want will give me and the wife around a grand extra in the bank a month.

So I kind of think I am hitting the slump on the way back up.

not me,
self employed in an industry that supposedly benefits from 'slumps' due to an increase in crime and people wanting to beef up their security, also renters doing a runner and evictions. thrive on peoples misery i do.
that said i havent noticed an increase either, god bless labour for tax credits.
