because what better way to have s first thread than to ask people you've never met for job advice right?!

So... I've been at the same place for over ten years. It's become a dead end job. The glass ceiling is lodged in my face.

I have skillz. I also have interviews next week.

I do application development an database design ( and surprisingly am married with kids).

One interview is with s firm tied to conveyancing. Other is s manufacturer of heavily used products for wiping up messes (can't give too much detail just in case...)

So. All the people who are in tune:
1) would you touch a company reliant on house sales in the current economic climate? And the near future?
2) would you move to Unknown and uncertainties for 50 extra take home a month or stay put in a secure job
3) stuff Mayo, try sweet chilli sauce and chips

Do dog walking mate.

House sales will be fine, commercial is the worry. If your not doing the selling I wouldnt worry too much. Most companies would just shelve taking on employees if they were worried about economic forecasts.

Pick either, then develop a freelance business while still employed, grow it and make it full time........
