Fair play to the lad.

He was clearly still a bit immature, when he was at Everton wasn't he?
I'm sure i read somewhere, might have been that Phil Vickery, that he didn't really know what to do with himself, and all the money he'd been given, and that even at 22, he just wanted the party lifestyle, and didn't really take football too seriously, i think after loan moves in europe, and then the sudden realisation that no one in europe wanted him, was probably a telling point in his career. He is still a let down for bailing on us at christmas, and i'm glad he left, but fair play to him.

Not really much competition in regards to top strikers for Brazil.

In the squad that got called up, only Fred is an out and out striker.

Pato has been crap is Brazil and didn't get called up. Hulk will most likely play on the right whilst Neymar is on the left.

Hasn't scored in one whole year. Pretty remarkable record for a striker, Get Jo on!

The day April 10, 2015 became a landmark date for the striker Jo . But definitely not for a reason that the player can be proud of. On Friday, exactly one full year of the last goal scored by striker, marked the victory by 1-0 over Zamora of Venezuela for the last round of the first phase of the Copa Libertadores 2014. Since then, Joe, that lived perhaps the best moment of his career, being summoned to compete in the World Cup, saw his career go into free fall. After participating in the Brazilian vexatious elimination in the World, Joe began to embitter the fast goals and saw their situation is aggravated with indiscipline that caused two clearances, which made him even outside the final stretch of the Brazil Cup, culminating in the title of the Rooster. In addition, a muscle injury earlier this year left the striker out several team games early this season. During the drought of goals, the alvinegro striker saw Fred, another striker in the World Cup, to recover from poor performance in the World and make the Brazilian Championship's top scorer last year. Since Jo found the net for the last time, Fred scored 32 goals. In Europe, the two leading names in today's world football, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, continued high. While the Argentine scored 51 goals, the Portuguese made 53.
