His manager here was David Moyes. Name one striker under Moyes that flourished for more than one season?

Ergo, we missed out on a decent striker because he couldn't track back and defend.

Can't mate, Moyes and strikers don't fit.
 

I mean it sarcasticly but to be fair he has come on quite a bit since playing the lone striker role for us. perhaps he was a decent striker waiting to happen in a team that properly played to his strengths?

He did well in russia and he's doing alright in Brazil.

The quality of the leagues has to be taken into account, though.
