He was bought as a gift for the club according to the City lads, and wasn't a Hughes signing.

As for transfers, I'm fairly sure a long term transfer must complete the loan term, unless the player is sold, or is a goalkeeper, and the club receiving the player must pay at least 50% of the players wages.

Why are people on Jo's back?

We've had 2 Premiership matches where the team has been poor, and already people are picking on the guy.

We have 36 league matches to go, plus all cup matches, and Jo should be judged over a season in line with the opportunities Moyes affords him.

Just like any striker, one good game and he'll be on his way. Let's try and be thankful for his services so far and not prematurely judgemental.

Jo really hasn't had a good shot at it yet. Keep in mind the service he gets from his midfield is poor and he has not had much game time this season. I am still unconvinced by him though. Jury is still out on him
