I wonder what the Yak will look like in it though? Being a fairly rotund person myself , it isn't obvoiously aimed at the 40 somethings then.

But surely there should be a hint of the Everton name somewhere......Else why not shop in the High Street.....Blimey it will be soon be Littlewoods Everton F.C.:D

Lol, they have... on the inside. Also they have a discreet rubber type badge(Nil Satis Nisi Optimum) the side, either at the hem or shoulder..

I have actually seen these garments in the flesh and they are rather nice...

It's pretty sensible marketing isn't it? Not every Everton fan likes to wear gear with Everton plastered on it - a lot of people don't wear football stuff. It's using the marketing appeal of Everton players to attract that market as well.

It's not like we are ignoring the first team kit/training kit market.

Maybe so -- But what connection does it have with Everton, I ain't knocking it but I can't see how it can be classed as Everton merchandise? Maybe I am just getting old:dodgy::dodgy:(y)

£70 for the jacket, which is pretty cheap for Tacchini.

Not sure what it's got to do with Everton other than the scally image of the 80s, though. It doesn't even have an Everton crest as far as I can make out.
Each time I see these pictures I wonder if they purposely made Jack wear the Jackets

Sergio Tacchini is a brand that most would associate with chavs but it kind of fits in with the whole 80s retro feel of the new shirt. I was only born in '86 but i love all the 'casuals' stuff that people wore back then and ST was one of the main brands from what i gather. Also the recent release of two movies based on that era, 'Awaydays' and 'The Firm' may help change people's perceptions of the brand.

I think it's a pretty good move.
