Its been announced that the best commentator on boxing since Harry Carpenter is retiring from his job at Sky Sports. Back in the day he was some fighter, super ko specialist with very fast hands and dancing feet. His career followed that of Ken Buchanan both were heroes north of the border. Its a shame because Watt was always clear and unafraid in his commentary, promoters are not boxers he once said hence to him he'd give his view and not one designed to help promote fights.

The boxing scene will not be the same without him. I had wondered for sometime how big an effect his daughters suicide had on him, possibly this decision is as a result of that tragic event.

Enjoy life Jim Watt, you've still got years in to enjoy life.

Hi monty

Way past his sell by date, can't call a fight beyond scoring rounds to people plodding forward, enjoy yourself though Jim, decent fighter and fella by all accounts, please take that fat weapon nick halling with you

I seen him on a flight from gatwick to Glasgow about 18 months ago. He was sat in his seat whilst I was boarding. I noticed him and said hello and put out my hand. He totally ignored me haha. The lads well and truly got into me about that. So for that Jim, do one.

Fought an Irish-Canadian, Sean O'Grady i think, Watt was getting battered every round so when he got the chance the sleeveen stuck a cowardly headbutt splitting his opponents eye open, hence stopping the fight.
So nah, never liked him for that kind of behaviour.
