Joey Barton perceives himself as an individual, which should be a breath of fresh air in this world of football clones with stock "at the end of the day" and "each game as it comes" type quotes.

It's just such a shame that one of the first footballers who has something to say for himself is such an utter weapon.

You're quite right there Jamo. I always remember Paxman throwing a tittylip when the BBC decided that Newsnight should deliver the weather forecast instead of the markets. He complained that Newsnight is 'for the top people'.
