Jermaine Beckford tribute thread

I wanted him to succeed more than any other player we've had recently (Strac too!)

I love an underdog coming and having a go.

Moyes kept him on the bench too much. I remember when we played against Bolton (I think), we had been [Poor language removed] all game and to top it off Fellaini got himself sent off. Then Beckford came on and scored an absolute peach of a curler into the corner to rescue a point in the dying minutes.

I'm sure he scored a similar one against Chelsea but it never gets mentioned because the other one against Chelsea overshadows it.

If anyone can find a video of either of those goals it'd be greatly appreciated

I think that Bolton one was the last kick of the game. Bolton just had to boot it away for full time, Baines miraculously recovers the ball, rolled it to Beckford and bang. Brilliant goal. I remember him running down the Family Enclosure celebrating and about 90% of them had already got off. lol

The equaliser at Stamford Bridge was a header I think, but a fantastic team goal.

8 goals from 14 starts in the league. Majority of his other appearances were 3 or 4 minutes at the end.

Obviously a limited player but did really well for us all things considered.

Not sure what I liked most.. The goal or the way Baines got the ball, pure determination and work rate so late in the game epitomises what LB was all about, and topped off with a superb finish from Beckford.

Appearantly he was a bit thick and not very professional. And when you fall out with Moyes, you're essentially done for, as we have seen with so many other players. Loved that chelsea goal and the fact he scored against the shoite at castle greyskull

Chelsea goal was some of the most inept defending ever seen. Awful player

I still think he was just trying to control the ball for half the pitch, then he saw Cech right in front of him...

His goal against Chelsea suggests he wasnt that bad
