Player Valuation: £6m
Everton boss David Moyes is putting Belgium striker Jelle Vossen at the top of his wish list for the next transfer window.

Moyes went to watch the Genk hitman in scoring action for his country against Austria last week and is lining up a bid for him in the New Year.

Vossen, 21, who is valued at about £5million by Genk, notched his first full *international goal and has been impressing Goodison scouts in recent weeks.

I know it is from the mirror and properly crap but anyone heard anything? Is he any good? According to Wiki he has 27 goals in 68 apperences. Thats a goal every 2.5 games. Think that if we are going to spend money we need a goal in 2 really. But can you get that for £5m? If Moyes has been to see him then it would mean we are interested but surely we would have heard something before now.

It doesnt matter who we are linked with, yakubu has had long enough to get himself fit and in form (is it a year now since he returned?), saha cant be bothered, beckford only works with 2 up front (wont happen under moyes), and the rest well they aren't ready or injured/on loan - all that said, im happy to be linked with pretty much anyone, it will be an improvement .

The huge number of chances we have created and not converted is horrific.

The guy really has been on fire this season. 13 goals in his first 9 matches. Don't know if he's ready for that step up to the PL, but he certainly knows where that net is.

He's only 21, that's the bit that impressed me.

But then we signed Gueye and Silva -- both youngsters doing well in poorer leagues, and obviously they were buys for the future. Would this guy be one too, or he could make the step up in time to aid our striking woes?

I'm not so sure. He sounds ace either way, and therefore I can't see us signing him... some bigger club will probably step in. Arsenal...

what was he like in the match mate

Had a fairly quiet match, as his team lost to Anderlecht. Missed a couple of chances and had trouble playing agaist the two big, strong and physical centre backs from Anderlecht. I doubt it very much he could cope with the physical demands of the EPL. Could be one for the future though, but definetely needs to improve a lot on his sharpness, awareness and physique.
