Scored the same amount of league goals as Everton since joining Hull.
Should he have been sold?
Should he have been sold?
Yes mate. He was terrible for the last 18 months here. The mistake was not replacing him.
He's a decent fit for Hull. They're playing with 2 strikers which is something that neither we or most other teams do. He's not good enough to lead the line on his own, as was seen in the last 18 months.
If this form continues, and that's a big if, then I think it says more about Jelavic's attitude than anything. He started brilliantly here but faded fast. At the time it was rumoured that he wanted an improved deal, when he'd been here less than half a season. Obviously that was refused. Isn't it also documented also that Moyes didn't give a particularly good recommendation of him.
That's it, by himself he is not good enough to lead the line in the premiership but is the ideal old fashioned poacher in a front two. Its looks a good partnership him and Long have.
Should we have perhaps tried a little harder to play to his strengths?
The period when he was amazing Fellaini was playing as a second striker more or less.

He's still awful lads if you watch the Hull highlights he completely messed up about 12 good chances
Was he good enough, or us good enough to have to change our style of play to suit him?
Absolutely. The time in which Jelavic was scoring all his goals was a short lived Everton line up... He had Cahill playing in behind him, with Fellaini and Gibson playing together in the centre of midfield. We also had 2 of Donovan, Drenthe and SP playing out wide.He played better with Cahill, him and Felli never clicked as a partnership in my book.
